We are a vibrant community inspired by the beautiful intricacies of life in Saudi Arabia. In a world of divisiveness, Smuug strives to unify through creativity. Our designs illustrate everyday Saudi symbols and characteristics in hopes of sharing the beauty of the Kingdom with the world.
Our founder, Brandie Janow, is an advocate for cultural awareness. She lives by the personal philosophy that through immersing ourselves in new places and learning from others, we can bridge cultures and strengthen communities. A U.S. native living in Saudi Arabia since late 2008, Brandie is an active member of several business development and humanitarian initiatives including AIGA, SIETAR USA, Women in Business and The American Chamber of Commerce. Her design work has been featured in Vogue, Glamour Magazine & Urban Outfitters.
